Tea is common aromatic beverage drink consumed all over the World. Assam Tea, Green Tea, Arab tea, persian tea etc.,
Tea is prepared plain, ginger tea, elaichi tea, masala tea etc.,
Masala powder contians various spices and herbs. Combination of masala varies.
Following are the ingredients and process of preparing Masala Tea/Chai
Ginger Powder 1/2 tsp
Jeera 1/2 tsp
Pepper 1/2 tsp
Cinnamon 1/2 inch
Cloves/Lavang 4-5 pods
Nutmeg/Jakai one pinch
Dry roast Jeera and pepper.
Grind roasted jeera, pepper, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, elaichi and ginger powder into fine powder.
Masala for preparing Tea/chai is ready to use.
Store in an airtight container and use whenever necessary.
Masala Tea/Chai preparation method.
Take 1/2 cupof water, bring to boil. Add tea powder and one pinch of prepared Masala to it. Boil for 1-2 mins. Add milk and sugar as per taste and boil for a minute.
Masala Tea/Chai is ready to serve. Serve hot.
Do not over roast the ingredients. You can use more or less masala powder as per your taste.
