Chiroti is a famous sweet fried dish usually made during marriages and festivals. It is consumed along with sugar powder and/or badam milk.
Today let us learn to prepare Chiroti at home instantly. It is very easy and tasty. And there is no need to wait for marriages or functions.
Chiroti Rave 1 cup
Rice Flour 1/2 tsp
Cooking soda one pinch
Ghee 1/4 cup
Sugar as required
Oil for frying
Take a bowl mix Chiroti rava, rice flour, cooking soda.
Add little water, 1/2 tsp oil and mix well to make a dough. Dough should not be too dry nor too watery.
Close the lid or wet cloth and keep for 30 mins.
After 30 mins knead the dough for 10-15 mins to make it soft and fluffy. If you have kneader it becomes easy to knead and get fluffy dough.
Divide the dough into 5-6 parts. Take a dough piece roll it into chapati.
Spread ghee, sprinkle rice flour on it.
Place it on a plate. Continue the process for all the dough parts and pile up.
Now roll the piled up chapatis.
Take a knife and cut into pieces of 2 inch.
Take a piece of cut dough press gently and roll on the board into required size.
In a pan keep oil for frying on medium heat. When the oil is hot slowly drop Chiroti.
Immediately make a hole or cut lightly in the centre with the help of a knife and fry for 2 mins.
Turn Chiroti and fry both sides. You can see the layers formed.
Remove from the oil, strain extra oil.
Chiroti is ready.
Serve Chiroti with sugar powder sprinkled on it. Some prefer to have it along with badam milk.
